The unusual weather this week has us reminiscing about one of our couples who successfully navigated what Mother Nature had in store for their wedding day. When talking to our clients about their ceremony and reception venue, we always ask what the rain plan option is. We encourage clients to be 100% okay with whatever that rain plan may be. As planners, we can control a lot of elements on your wedding day, but weather is not one of them. We want to know that if we have to go with the rain plan, you are still guaranteed the wedding of your dreams.

Stacie and Sears was one of our couples who took their rainy wedding day in stride. Originally scheduled to get married beneath a beautiful tree in Cabbagetown Park, Stacie and Sears made the decision to go forward with their rain plan in the early morning hours of their wedding day. Luckily for them, that included a ceremony in the beautiful and historic Inman Park United Methodist Church.

This laid back bride encouraged her bridesmaids to select their own dresses, allowing their personalities to standout. We loved the mix of pastels and fall colors reflected both in the bridesmaids dresses and in the bouquets from Candler Park Flowers for this October wedding.

Following a touching ceremony, guests made their way to the event space at Trees Atlanta for cocktail hour and a dinner reception. Miraculously, the rain cleared and guests were able to enjoy the spectacular outdoor space at Trees Atlanta during the cocktail hour. The welcome sunshine provided some fantastic photo opportunities for our bride and groom.

Stacie and Sears’ reception was a shining example of what a difference specialty lighting can make in a reception space. Uplighting America provided perfectly placed uplighting along the walls in a warm amber color reminiscent of a beautiful fall day, along with a gobo projecting a tree full of leaves.

Stacie and Sears surprised their guests with a late night snack of pizza from S & J Woodfired Pizza. This delicious treat was made on-site in a woodfire pizza oven trailer.

After a fantastic evening of great food, dancing, and celebration, Stacie and Sears departed their reception to a flurry of confetti!

Thanks to Stacie and Sears for inviting us to be a part of their special day!
