4th of July weekend can be a challenging weekend for a wedding. How do you embrace patriotic without making it too cheesy? This year we had the pleasure of coordinating Leslie and Joshua’s 4th of July weekend wedding where they celebrated their love (and love of country) with elegance, class, and all around good fun.

herman-smith-1Leslie and Josh chose a navy blue and white color palette for their celebration incorporating contemporary patterns like stripes and polka dots.

herman-smith-3We loved Leslie’s cathedral length veil and their flower girl couldn’t have been more precious.

herman-smith-9Leslie and Josh were married in a traditional Episcopalian ceremony at  one of Atlanta’s most beautiful, historic churches All Saints’ Episcopal Church.

herman-smith-4And clearly these two couldn’t have been happier!

herman-smith-5After the ceremony the event moved a few blocks over to the Georgian Terrace Hotel.

herman-smith-7Leslie and Joshua met at a Young Democrats of Atlanta meeting, so their reception decor included some creative patriotic touches including a ballot box instead of a guest book.

herman-smith-6We loved the navy accents throughout the ballroom. The table numbers were the names of Democratic presidents!

herman-smith-8And what 4th of July weekend wedding is complete without a sparkler send off?

Thank you Leslie and Joshua for letting us be a part of your beautiful 4th of July weekend wedding! We now know how to keep it classy patriotic style.
